Serbia has taken a major step forward in its technological development with the launch of a new supercomputer at the State Data Center in Kragujevac. The project was officially presented in the presence of President Aleksandar Vučić, marking another milestone in the country’s digital transformation.

The Kragujevac Data Center is already recognized as one of the most advanced facilities in Southeast Europe, designed to securely store and process vast amounts of data. With the addition of the new supercomputer, its capacity and performance have been significantly enhanced.

This powerful system is expected to play a key role in supporting the development of artificial intelligence, data analytics, and scientific research. Universities, research institutions, and local startups will benefit from access to high-performance computing resources, helping accelerate innovation across multiple sectors.

Alongside the supercomputer, the project also includes further expansion of infrastructure and the integration of sustainable energy solutions, including solar power, making the facility more efficient and environmentally friendly.
